13th Annual Touchstone Energy NC Cotton Festival – November 5, 2011 promises to be even more exciting this year.
With Downtown Renovations going on, this year’s Festival will be moving to a new location. Dunn’s Tart Park Recreational Park will be host to the 13th Annual Touchstone Energy NC Cotton Festival on Saturday, November 5th. The Dunn Shriner’s Car Show will also be at the park. The Committee is excited and working hard at making this year’s Festival one of the best ever. Plans are still in the making as we move forward with preparations for one of the largest and best festivals in this area.

Saturday, October 8, 2011. Included in the festivities will be “All Day Stage Entertainment”, “Vendors of all types,” “Parade”, “Car & Truck Show”, “Farm Equipment Show”, “Arts, Crafts & Cooking Contest”, “Cornhole Tournament”, “Huge Kid’s Park”, “Kid’s Bicycle/Tricycle Parade” & “Street Dance”. Many additional attractions are being adding as we approach the Festival Date.
Over the years this Festival has grown to include a Gospel Concert on Friday evening, Golf Tournament, Wagon Train and Camping, Car Show, Farm Equipment Show, Judged Items, all day Stage Entertainment, Cornhole Tournament, over 90 vendors, Street Dance, Pig Cook-Off, etc. This past year we entertained over 16,000 visitors. The Kid’s Park was added several years ago and has grown every year. Last year it was packed all day with children of all ages.
Benson Mule Days is happening on Saturday, September 22, 2011 and it sounds like a lot of fun! This town is also home to a really awesome Christmas light display (more on that later).
This festival, which draws 60-70,000 people, is filled with family fun and activities for everyone young and old. The weekend is packed with rodeos, a mule pulling contest, arts and crafts, vendors, street dances, carnival rides, camping, parades, bluegrass shows and more.

The Cumberland County Fair will be coming to the Crown Center Expo in Fayetteville, NC September 15-25, 2011. There will be a ton of fun things to do this year!

The Lillington Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in downtown Lillington. The event offers shopping options that include local arts and crafts as well as commercial products, food vendors, fun activities for the children and all day entertainment.
