Hey folks! I was going to write this really great post about local NYE events around town, but I ran out of time. So here are a bunch of links for events. Sorry for the late notice. You can imagine our festive adventures are much more low-key/family oriented than party party (hence the not planning ahead). Hope you all have a great one!

Bring in the New Year with live performances on the Bud Light Stage. The stage will include a live feed from Times Square.
This family focused event will also have a children’s area hosted by The Partnership For Children, that includes craft activities, inflatable fun (weather provided), an early New Year countdown at 8:45 with a firework show for the little ones that can’t make it till midnight. This area proves to be fun for all ages!

There are several Christmas Events happening in our area.
Last year, my family went to Benson North Carolina to see Meadow Lights. It was so good, we are going back again this year. They have a huge light display, Concessions, Carousel, Santa Claus photo op, and an old fashioned candy store. Just be ready to wait in line (in your car and outside for their train) so dress warm. There is no admission to walk around, but they do charge for the train ride to see the lights (only $2).
For more information and directions, visit http://www.meadowlights.com/
Here are some links to other Christmas events… please comment if you have been before! I haven’t been able to try everything out yet.
