Lillington’s Community Center would like to start a Photography Club for Harnett County Photography lovers.
The first meeting is set for January 19th at 6:30 pm here at the Center. If you’re interested in joining, and would like to see them offer Photography classes, please contact Angel at 910-893-2864.
The Lillington Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in downtown Lillington. The event offers shopping options that include local arts and crafts as well as commercial products, food vendors, fun activities for the children and all day entertainment.

3rd Annual ACCRF 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run
Help raise funds for research to find a cure for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a rare cancer of the head and neck by participating in the 3rd Annual ACCRF 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Run
on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
This event will be held at Campbell University in Lillington. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The 5K Run begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation (ACCRF).

Fort Bragg Family Fun 5K (FOR MILITARY/GOV’T EMPLOYEES ONLY)

This event starts at 8:00 A.M.

Lillington’s athletic registration is now open for Fall. Sign up for soccer, football, cheerleading, baseball, or softball!

Is your child interested in acting? The Heart of Harnett Playhouse is holding auditions August 15-17 at 7:00 P.M at the theatre in the former Lillington High School Building. There are many parts available for youths age 5-18 (as well as adults).
Performances will be October 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30.

On Saturday, August 20, 2011, visit Raven Rock State Park and learn about The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird.
The park is hosting a two-hour program, beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Visitor Center, on the park’s smallest birds. There will be a PowerPoint presentation on the history of hummingbirds, a craft to make your very own hummingbird feeder and recreate a hummingbird nest. Afterwards you can watch a documentary about these small birds.
